- Inventory & Ordering: Oversee weekly truck orders, ensuring accurate stock levels of all food, packaging, and operational supplies while minimizing variance.
- Performance Metrics: Work alongside the Restaurant Manager to analyze daily and weekly sales reports, identifying opportunities to improve speed of service, drive-thru times, and average check sizes.
- Cash Control: Oversee advanced cash management functions, including daily deposits, safe audits, and resolving till discrepancies.
People Leadership & Development
- Talent Acquisition: Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and effectively onboarding new crew members.
- Management Training: Mentor and develop Shift Managers and Crew Trainers, ensuring they have the skills to run excellent shifts and enforce McDonald's standards.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide ongoing constructive feedback, and manage employee relations or disciplinary issues as needed.
- Scheduling: Create efficient, labor-optimized weekly schedules that ensure the restaurant is staffed appropriately for peak volume periods.
Guest Experience & Quality Assurance
- Elevate Hospitality: Drive customer satisfaction metrics by role-modeling excellent hospitality and resolving escalated guest complaints with a "make it right" mentality.
- Operational Excellence: Conduct regular travel paths and internal audits to ensure 100% compliance with McDonald's Gold Standard food quality and preparation procedures.
- Food Safety Champion: Ensure strict adherence to all health department regulations, daily food safety logs, and sanitization protocols.
Facility & Equipment Management
- Preventative Maintenance: Oversee the care of commercial restaurant hardware and facility infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of defense for diagnosing issues with kitchen equipment (such as fry dispensers, vats, and sensors) and coordinating repairs with technicians to minimize downtime.
- Safety & Security: Ensure all facility security protocols, alarms, and emergency systems are operational and that staff are trained on workplace safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of QSR management experience; previous McDonald's Assistant Manager or strong Shift Manager experience is highly preferred.
- Strong business acumen with a basic understanding of P&L (Profit & Loss) statements, inventory management, and labor scheduling.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- A proactive problem-solver who can handle the administrative and operational demands of a high-volume restaurant.
